This page was created to help with some of the recurring questions
we received. For more information, contact Jennifer Ross at
jenn@pano.org or 717-236-8584
x1003. Make the most of your membership by reading below and
by sharing this member guide
with your board and staff members..
Index
Who is the member? For
nonprofit and business members, your organization is the member,
but all your staff (and in nonprofits volunteers and board
members) receive benefits. This means they are all eligible to get
member rates on training, to contact staff for help desk issues,
to download Standards for Excellence Education Packets, receive
enews and other e-alerts, participate in the members only
PANO LinkedIn Group, etc.
How do
I add my colleagues to the database? They can add
themselves on our log on page in the
new visitor registration section. They should make sure they
link themselves to your organization. If they have any trouble,
they can contact
Jennifer Ross for help.
How do I log onto the PANO Website? If you are receiving email
updates regularly from PANO, then you are in our database. Your
username is the email address where you are receiving enews. If
you have never logged in before, you should have a temporary
password of Password1. If that doesn’t work, just click the
“forgot my password option.”
If you get a message that there is a problem with your email
address, it may mean that we have your email address listed with
another colleague of yours. Just contact
Jenn
Ross and I’ll fix that for you.
By logging in, members can get the member rate on everything
available in our store, and you can download numerous Standards
for Excellence resources. If you need some extra help “walking
through” the site, just let
Jenn Ross know and I’ll give you a tutorial. If you need
help after hours or while I'm not in the office, we also have a
help manual that will walk you
through the process.
I
am currently forming a nonprofit. Can I join?
Yes, you can join as a nonprofit
based on your operating budget. We do not help with the filing
paperwork but can provide a lot of help with day-to-day questions,
access to Standards for
Excellence Resources, discounted training,
and more.
Does PANO have a health insurance program for its members?
PANO does currently offer a program in Western PA, Central PA and
Lehigh County. Details.
Where can I
get a list of all benefits? Visit our
benefits page. You can click on most of
the items for more information either in PDF format or a special
site developed by our partners. If you have additional
questions, contact
Jenn Ross.
How do I post a job or one of our upcoming events? If
you work for a member agency, click
here. The
username and password you need to use is noted on this page. Once
you log in, you can post your event or job opening in text only
format. Please note we are unable to edit job postings. Once
it is up, if it is not correct, please resubmit a correct one and
let
Jenn Ross know which one to delete. Please note that if
your agency is not a member of PANO, your posting will be removed.
There is no fee for members to post.
How do I access the Standards for Excellence Education Packets?
A description of the packets can be found
here. For PANO members, the only one with a fee attached
is Principle IV: Human Resources: Personnel Policies ($40).
Nonmembers may purchase all of the packets as priced
here.
-
Shop on behalf of yourself, NOT on behalf of your organization.
-
Add the packets you want to your cart by clicking add to cart.
-
You can add additional packets by clicking continue shopping
and then clicking “go” under “shop for” towards the left on the
top.
-
When you have selected all of the packets and other items (if
applicable) you wish to purchase, click check out. You will
need to follow these steps even if you are a member and all
items are free.
-
After you process your order, you will need to click on my
transactions on the left side bar. You will then see your
packet(s) on under my downloadable items. You will only be able
to download each item five times within a one month
period from the date of your order so you should save the item
by clicking file-save as. If you are a member, you can go
through the same process in the future and select the same item
(s).
