Participation Process
Levels of participation include:
1. We encourage all nonprofit organizations to be familiar with the
Standards and to strive to implement these.
2. As part of PANO membership, members make a pledge to uphold the Guiding
Principles of the Standards.
3. Attend Introductory Session,
"Assessing and Strengthening your Organization"
4. Attend Clinic Series
for an in-depth study of individual Standards and background materials. Note:
registration for certification is not necessary to attend Clinic Sessions.
5. Enroll in certification process (see below)
Suggested steps for completing certification
1. Attend Introductory Session
2. Attend Clinic Series. Note: While participation in the introductory and
clinic series is strongly encouraged, organizations unable to attend can still
registration for certification by completing the Registration for Certification
Form. An initial phone meeting with the key contact person will determine if
additional support is needed to move into the certification process. If
significant support is required, PANO will assess a fee for the organization in
exchange for the required support time. Neither the fee nor the support time
will exceed the Clinic Series fees and time.
